Bull Terrier

Bullterrier

The Bull Terrier has its origin in Great Britain and is classified by the FCI in group 3. The medium sized breed is also suitable as a guard dog, but despite its bad reputation it is also a loving and playful family dog.

Characteristics of the Bull Terrier

The life expectancy of the Bull Terrier lies with 10 to 12 years. With a height at withers of 45 to 55 centimetres, its weight usually ranges from 24 to 30 kilograms.

The most conspicuous optical characteristic with the Bull Terrier surely is the ovoid head. Its strong jaw shows a straight bite. The dark, triangular eyes are slightly oblique. The ears of the Bull Terrier are quite small and narrowly standing.

His long, curved neck is strong and fits very well into the overall picture with a stocky body, a deep chest and a pronounced musculature.

The smooth coat of the Bull Terrier is short and can be either black, red, reddish brown, white, brindle or three-coloured.

Bull Terriers Diseases

Bull Terriers are quite robust animals by themselves. Nevertheless, the breed occasionally tends to joint diseases, whereby here in particular complaints with the knees can occur. White Bull Terriers  also often suffer from skin problems.

Bull Terriers food

A high-quality dog food without artificial additives provides for an optimal nutrient supply of the lively animals. It is important that the rations are adapted to the needs. The age, weight and activities of the bull terrier play an important role.

In addition, special dietary supplements can help to prevent these diseases in Bull Terriers.

We recommend them for this purpose:
